Mary Anne Mendrez
Mary Anne "Mean" Mendrez (born November 14, 1998) is a Philippines, Filipino volleyball player, currently the outside hitter and middle blocker for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. From 2016 to 2021, she was the outside spiker for the UE Lady Warriors volleyball team of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, where in 2018 she was awarded as the 2018 PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Conference, PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Second Best Outside Spiker. Career Mendrez was a member of the Under-19 Philippines women's national volleyball team, which competed in the 2016 South East Asian Junior Women's Volleyball Championships where the team finished in fourth place. In 2018, while still in college, she joined the Petro Gazz Angels in the Premier Volleyball League, staying for two seasons. San Pedro, officially the City of San Pedro ( fil, Lungsod ng San Pedro), is a 3rd class component city in the province of Laguna, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 326,001 people. It is named after its patron saint, Saint Peter. The Philippine Super Liga (PSL; alternatively spelled as Philippine Superliga) was a non-professional corporate club women's volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and later owned by Athletic Events & Sports Management Group (ACES), Inc. The league was envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career. The PSL also had a men's division from 2013 to 2014, although its beach volleyball tournament both have a women's and men's division since its inception. The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. The 2018 PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Conference was the fifth conference and fourth indoor tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's sixth season. The games began on November 3, 2018 at the Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig.
