The Chicago City Council is the legislative branch of the government of the City of Chicago in Illinois. It consists of 50 alderpersons elected from 50 wards to serve four-year terms. Uptown Theatre (also known as Balaban and Katz Uptown Theatre) is a currently closed movie palace and concert venue located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Harry Osterman (born April 14, 1967) is an American politician serving as a member of the Chicago City Council from the 48th ward. He previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives for the 14th District from 2000 to 2011. Uptown is one of Chicago, Illinois’ 77 community areas.
