Marx And Venus
''Marx and Venus'' was an Australian television comedy series broadcast on SBS TV. Set in Perth, Western Australia, the program was about two flatmates; John Marx, played by Bryce Youngman and Venus Hoy, played by Rhoda Lopez. Originally Emma Lung was to play Venus Hoy, but she pulled out of the project before filming. The program premiered on 6 August 2007. Episodes of the show are only five minutes long, and it was generally shown around 8:30pm each Monday night. The theme music for the opening titles is "Come on Come on ''Come On Come On'' is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Mary Chapin Carpenter. Little Birdy
Little Birdy were an Australian alternative rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia, in 2002 by singer and guitarist Katy Steele, drummer Matt Chequer, guitarist and keyboardist Simon Leach, and bass guitarist Scott O'Donoghue. They gained public attention when their single "Relapse" gained popularity on alternative radio stations such as Triple J, leading them to be signed by the record label Eleven: A Music Company. They released three studio albums (all three of which entered the top ten in the ARIA charts), two EPs, and ten singles. "Come On Come On" is the first single from Little Birdy's second album ''Hollywood'' and was released on 16 September 2006. The single debuted at No. 18 on the Australia ARIA Singles Chart and polled at No. 11 on Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2006. “Come On Come On”, as with the other tracks on ''Hollywood'', was recorded in Los Angeles in 2006 with producer John King, one half of the production duo, The Dust Brothers (Beck, Beastie Boys) and engineer Clif Norrell (Weezer, REM, You Am I). Emma Lung (born 14 January 1982) is an Australian actress. Early life and education Born in Sydney, Lung's father is half-Chinese; his father (Emma's paternal grandfather) was born near Beijing.
