Marvin Angulo
Marvin Angulo Borbón (born 30 September 1986) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who currently plays for Municipal Liberia. Club career On 1 October 2009 it was thought he will join the Melbourne Victory from CS Herediano as an injury replacement player for Billy Celeski. The deal was agreed in principle on 21 September 2009. However, he was yet to gain clearance from FIFA, and was unable to take the field for Melbourne Victory until the 10 January 2010 fixture against the Newcastle Jets. He was released by Melbourne Victory during the 10/11 off-season and returned to Herediano, despite rumours of Melbourne wanting to extend his loan. International career Angulo has made two appearances for the Costa Rica national football team, his debut coming in a friendly against Peru on 22 August 2007. Deportivo Saprissa
Deportivo Saprissa is a Costa Rican sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is based in San Juan de Tibás, San José, and play their home games at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá. The team's signature colours are purple (burgundy) and white. It is the main team representing the capital, but with the distinction of being massively followed throughout the whole country and overseas. The club was founded in 1935 and has competed in the Costa Rican first division since 1949. The name of the team comes from one of the club's main founders, Ricardo Saprissa. The 2015–16 Costa Rican FPD is the 96th season of the Costa Rican top-flight football league. It is divided in two championships: the Invierno and Verano seasons. Format The season format was changed from previous years. The season will still be split into two tournaments, the Invierno and Verano. Also, each tournament's regular stage will still consist of a double-round robin. However, the top four teams from the regular stage will advance to a "quadrangular" double-round robin instead of a play-off stage. If the team with the most points in regular stage finishes with the most points in the quadrangular, they will automatically win the tournament. 2019 CONCACAF League
The 2019 CONCACAF League (officially the 2019 Scotiabank CONCACAF League for sponsorship purposes) was the third edition of the CONCACAF League, a football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The tournament was expanded from 16 to 22 teams for the 2019 edition, with the addition of a preliminary round. CONCACAF League
The CONCACAF League was an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF as its second-tier continental competition. It was announced on 8 May 2017. The competition uses a knockout cup format with each round having two legs. The top six teams proceed to the CONCACAF Champions League. From 2019 to 2022, the tournament featured 22 teams, an increase from 16 in the 2017 and 2018 editions. The competition ended after the 2022 edition due to the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League, starting with the 2024 edition.
