Marvelous Entertainment
(MMV) was a multinational corporation that produced animation, music, video games and television series. MMV is known for its involvement in the ''Story of Seasons'' series. They merged with AQ Interactive in 2011 and became Marvelous AQL; the "AQL" was dropped later on. Local operations Locally, MMV was involved in a number of forms of entertainment, including the production of anime and music by their two subsidiaries Artland and Delfi Sound respectively. Artland is an animation studio that produced a number of popular anime including the award-winning ''Mushishi'' and the hit shōnen ''Katekyō Hitman Reborn!'', and Delfi Sound is a recording studio that was involved in the production of a number of albums, radio dramas, and soundtracks since its establishment in 2005. Marvelous (film)
''Marvelous'' is a 2006 American drama/comedy written and directed by Síofra Campbell. Plot Gwen (Martha Plimpton), is living with her sister Queenie (Amy Ryan) after getting divorced. Gwen has the ability to magically fix broken machinery and heal sick and injured people. The film explores the effect that celebrity has on Gwen and her family and friends. Cast Critical reception As an independent film, ''Marvelous'' did not have a great deal of critical focus. What there was, was mixed. ''Marvellous'' is a 90-minute British drama television film first broadcast on BBC Two on 25 September 2014. Directed by Julian Farino and written by Peter Bowker, it is about the life of Neil Baldwin from Westlands, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. In the 1990s Baldwin, now an honorary graduate of Keele University, was appointed as Stoke City Football Club's kit-man by its manager Lou Macari. Baldwin's autobiography, ''Marvellous: Neil Baldwin – My Story'', was published in hardback in 2015. In 2022 his story was told on stage, in a play, also called ''Marvellous'', performed at the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme and at @sohoplace in London's West End. Marv Johnson
Marvin Earl Johnson (October 15, 1938 – May 16, 1993) was an American R&B singer, songwriter and pianist. He was influential in the development of the Motown style of music, primarily for the song " Come to Me," which was the first record issued by Tamla Records, the precursor to the famous label. Despite his early success in the United States, Johnson ultimately enjoyed more popularity overseas than in his native country. His music was especially popular in the United Kingdom and Australia. Biography Johnson was born in Detroit. His early musical influences included gospel and blues, but he began his singing career with a doo-wop group, the Junior Serenaders, in the mid-1950s. He was discovered by Berry Gordy while performing at a carnival; Gordy had already decided to form his first record label, Tamla, and Johnson's recording of the song " Come to Me" became the label's first single, released in May 1959.
