Marvel Select
Marvel Select is a line of action figures from the Marvel Universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe manufactured by Diamond Select Toys. Diamond Select uses the "Select" label for other brands, including Universal Monsters, Star Trek and The Munsters, to indicate the 1:10 scale and comes in similar packaging. Figures are sculpted in a strict 1:10 scale. Larger characters can stand as tall as 9-10 inches. History At its inception in 2002, the line was designed, sold, and marketed by Diamond Select Toys. Development and production was handled by Toy Biz until the company went defunct. Figures were originally limited to Ultimate Marvel and Marvel Knights. Focus was on sculpting over articulation and included large display bases and accessories, sometimes an additional figure, which necessitated large display packaging in the beginning. An action figure is a poseable character model figure made most commonly of plastic, and often based upon characters from a film, comic book, military, video game or television program; fictional or historical. These figures are usually marketed toward boys and adult collectors. The term was coined by Hasbro in 1964 to market G.I. Joe to boys (while competitors called similar offerings ''boy's dolls''). According to a 2005 study in Sweden, action figures which display traditional masculine traits primarily target boys. While most commonly marketed as a child's toy, the action figure has gained widespread acceptance as collector item for adults. Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) is a character (arts), fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Emma Grace Frost is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men.
