Marudhamalai (film)
''Marudhamalai'' is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Suraj. The film stars Arjun, Meera and Vadivelu, while Lal, Raghuvaran, Nassar play supporting roles. The film was released on 7 September 2007. During its release, this film had a grand opening and it became a super-hit at the box office. Vadivelu won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian for his work in this film. Plot Marudhamalai ( Arjun), goes to work as Constable in the town of Nachiapuram after passing his police training by getting a merit selection. Here he meets 'Encounter' Ekambaram (Vadivelu), his senior officer. Suraj (director)
Suraj (born December 31, 1977) is an Indian film director who works primarily in Tamil films. He is best known for directing action and masala films. Career In 1996, Suraj began working as an assistant director to Sundar C. on his comedy films '' Ullathai Allitha'' and ''Mettukudi''. In 1997, he continued to assist Sundar C. on '' Arunachalam'' starring Rajinikanth and he was the co-director of the film '' Janakiraman''. Then, Suraj returned to assist Sundar C. in his films. In 2006, he made his directorial comeback through '' Thalai Nagaram'', starring his mentor Sundar C., Jyothirmayi and Vadivelu. Krishnamoorthy (1963/1964 – 7 October 2019) was a comedian in the Tamil film industry in India. Career Krishnamoorthy moved from his home town Tiruvannamalai to Madras in 1983 hoping to become an actor in films. Despite being initially unsuccessful, he joined the crew of the film ''Kuzhandhai Yesu'' (1984) as an office boy, and by the end of production, he was assigned the role of production manager.
