Martín Sabbatella
Martín Sabbatella (born 14 April 1970) is an Argentine politician and leader of the New Encounter party. From 1999 to 2009, he was ''intendente'' (mayor) of Morón, a '' partido'' in the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area. He was also a member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2009 to 2013, and director of the Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services from 2012 to 2015. Since 2020, Sabbatella has been the chairman of the Matanza–Riachuelo Basin Authority (ACUMAR). Early life and career Sabbatella was born in the western Buenos Aires suburb of Morón in 1970. He enrolled at the Manuel Dorrego National Middle School, where he became active in the Communist Party of Argentina. Federal Authority For Audiovisual Communication Services
The Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services (Spanish: ''Autoridad Federal de Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual'', AFSCA) was an agency of the government of Argentina with the power to regulate television and radio services. It began activities on December 10, 2009, two months after the passage of the Law 26,522 of Audiovisual Communications Services (Ley de Medios), and replaced the Federal Broadcasting Committee (Comité Federal de Radiodifusión, COMFER). Matanza River
The River The Matanza River is known by several names, including, in Spanish, Río de la Matanza ("the slaughter river" in English), Río Matanza ("slaughter river"), Río Mataderos ("slaughterhouses river"), Río de la Manzana ("the apple river") or simply Riachuelo ("little river"). It is a stream in Argentina that originates in the Buenos Aires Province and defines the southern boundary of the Buenos Aires federal district. Juan Carlos Rousselot (June 24, 1935 – July 8, 2010) was an Argentine radio and television personality, newspaper publisher, and former mayor of the Greater Buenos Aires suburb of Morón. The Radical Civic Union ( es, Unión Cívica Radical, UCR) is a centrist and social-liberal political party in Argentina.
