Martynas Sajus
Martynas Sajus (born 22 February 1996) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Río Breogán of the Liga ACB. Professional career On 9 July 2014, Sajus signed a five-year (3+2) contract with Žalgiris Kaunas and started to play for the club's reserve team in the NKL. In his first season, he averaged 5.4 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. In December 2015, because of injuries in the Žalgiris main team, he was registered for a LKL match against BC Dzūkija and made a debut by scoring 2 points. On 29 December 2015, he made his EuroLeague debut against Laboral Kutxa playing only 4 seconds. On August 11, 2016, Sajus was loaned to Polpharma Starogard Gdański for the 2016–17 season. After a successful season in Poland, he was brought back by Žalgiris on August 12, 2017. He again split his time between Žalgiris and its reserve team. Basketball Club Žalgiris ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Žalgiris) is a professional basketball team that is based in Kaunas, Lithuania, and competes domestically in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL, Lithuanian Basketball League). Founded in 1944, it is one of the oldest teams in the EuroLeague. Žalgiris is one of 11 European clubs to hold long-term licenses with the EuroLeague, which provides a guaranteed place in the regular-season phase of this league. FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship
The FIBA U20 European Championship, previously known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under', is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 edition. Through the 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since 2005 edition, it is held every year. The tournament was originally an Under-22 age tournament, but it is now an Under-20 age tournament. The current champions are Spain. Starting with the 2005 B edition, a Division B tournament, which is the secondary level of the European Under-20 Basketball Championship, is also organized. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League) is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation. BC Dzūkija ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Dzūkija) was a basketball club located in Alytus, Lithuania. It was founded in 2012 and participated in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). It was the newest basketball club based in Alytus after BC Alita and BC Alytus were dissolved.
