Marty Favret (born ) is an American former college football coach. He was the head football coach for Hampden–Sydney College from 2000 to 2023. The 2004 NCAA Division III football season, part of the college football season organized by the NCAA at the Division III level in the United States, began in August 2004, and concluded with the NCAA Division III Football Championship, also known as the Stagg Bowl, in December 2004 at Salem Football Stadium in Salem, Virginia. The Linfield Wildcats won their first Division III championship by defeating the Mary Hardin–Baylor Crusaders, 28−21. 2014 Hampden–Sydney Tigers Football Team
The 2014 Hampden–Sydney Tigers football team represented Hampden–Sydney College in the 2014 NCAA Division III football season. It was the Tiger's 120th overall, the 39th as a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The team was led by Marty Favret, in his fifteenth year as head coach, and played its home games at Lewis C. Everett Stadium in Death Valley, Hampden Sydney, Virginia, Hampden–Sydney, Virginia. They finished the season 7–4, 5–2 in ODAC play to finish in first place in the conference. They received an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III football season#Playoffs, Division III Playoffs where they lost to #4 Wesley in the first round.
