Martrez Milner
Martrez Milner (born August 8, 1984) is a former American football tight end. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia Bulldogs football, Georgia. Milner has also been a member of the New York Giants, New York Jets, and New Orleans Saints. Professional career Atlanta Falcons Milner was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He was released on September 16, 2008. New York Giants Later in September, the New York Giants signed Milner to their practice squad. Following the season, he was re-signed to a future contract on January 12, 2009. He waived on May 21, 2009. New York Jets Milner was claimed off waivers by the New York Jets on May 27, 2009. He was waived on June 11, 2009. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style.
