Vanes Martirosyan ( hy, Վանես Մարտիրոսյան; born May 1, 1986) is a former Armenian-born American professional boxer from 2005 to 2019. He has challenged twice for a light middleweight world title in 2013 and 2016, and once for a unified middleweight world title in 2018. Early life Vanes was born on May 1, 1986, in Abovyan, Armenia. Vanes' father, Norik Martirosyan, was an amateur boxer in Armenia who worked for an industrial company and was also in the army. Vanes has two brothers, one older and one younger, and a sister. His family moved to Glendale, California when he was four years old. He started boxing when he was seven after his father found out there was a gym in Glendale. Tigran Gevorg Martirosyan ( hy, Տիգրան Գ. Մարտիրոսյան, born June 9, 1988, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian weightlifter. He was awarded the Honored Master of Sports of Armenia title in 2009. Martirosyan is an Armenian Champion, three-time European Champion, World Champion and was temporarily acknowledged as the youngest Olympic medalist from Armenia before being stripped of the medal for doping violations. Tigran Vardan Martirosyan ( hy, Տիգրան Գ. Մարտիրոսյան, born 3 March 1983 in Leninakan, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian Olympic weightlifting, weightlifter. He is 175 cm tall. Armen Martirosyan (Armenian Արմեն Մարտիրոսյան; born 18 February 1963, in Yerevan) is an Armenian musician and composer. Biography His first music lessons were given in his early childhood by his grandmother, who taught him the rudiments of the notes. At the same time, his parents introduced him to different genres of musical art (ballet, opera and concerts of symphonic music). In 1970, aged seven, he entered the well-known music school being already familiar with the notes, having perfect pitch and a sense of rhythm. Teachers noticed the absolute composing abilities and rare intuition for performing musical composition. Hrach K. Martirosyan ( hy, Հրաչ Մարտիրոսյան; born in Vanadzor in 1964) is an Armenian linguist. He is currently Lecturer in Eastern Armenian in the department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Armen Martirosyan ( hy, Արմեն Մարտիրոսյան; born 30 September 1973) is an Armenian politician from the Heritage party. Early life Armen Martirosyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia SSR, Soviet Union on 30 September 1973. Armen Martirosyan ( hy, Արմեն Մարտիրոսյան, born 6 August 1969 in Leninakan, Shirak, Armenian SSR) is a retired Armenian triple jumper. He came in fifth place at the 1996 Summer Olympics and also competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's triple jump.
