Federico Martinengo
Federico Carlo Martinengo (18 July 1899 – 9 September 1943) was an Italian flying ace, credited with five aerial victories, during World War I, and an Italian admiral during World War II. Early life and service Federico Carlo Martinengo was born in Rome on 18 July 1899.Franks et al 1997, p. 144. The son of a naval officer, he studied the classics in school before moving on to the ''Regia Accademia Navale'' in Leghorn in September 1911. After graduating as a midshipman on 25 May 1915, the day after Italy entered World War I was serving on the Italian battleship ''Dante Alighieri'' when Italy entered the war in 1915.Varriale 2009, pp. 47-48. Giulio Cesare Martinengo
Giulio Cesare Martinengo (; – 10 July 1613) was an Italians, Italian composer and teacher of the late Renaissance music, Renaissance and early Baroque music, Baroque Venetian School (music), Venetian School. He was the predecessor to Claudio Monteverdi at St Mark's Basilica, San Marco. He probably came from Verona, and was the son of composer Gabriele Martinengo. Accounts giving his birthdate are conflicting: one from his mother claims he was born in 1564, but a document from the "house of the Accoliti" in Verona gives his age in 1583 as 15. He studied with his father in Verona, and in the 1590s he served at Verona Cathedral as a singer as well as a priest. Martinengo is principally famous as the successor to Giovanni Croce, and predecessor to Claudio Monteverdi, to the post of ''maestro di cappella'' at San Marco in Venice, which was by far the most prestigious post in northern Italy. Maria Maddalena Martinengo
Maria Maddalena Martinengo (5 October 1687 – 27 July 1737), born Margherita Martinengo, was an Italian Roman Catholic professed nun of the order of the Capuchin Poor Clare nuns. Martinengo devoted her life as a professed religious to the performance of small but humble chores in her time as a Poor Clare nun and was noted for her life of spiritual discernment and devotion to God above all else. Pope Leo XIII beatified Martinengo on 3 June 1900. Life Margherita Martinengo was born on 5 October 1687 in Brescia into a noble household in the Martinengo Ducal Palace to Francesco Leopoldo Martinengo and Margherita Secchi d'Aragona; her brothers were Nestore and Gianfrancesco. Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo
The Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo is a public art museum in Brescia, Lombardy. Established in 1851, the museum exhibits mainly paintings by local artists dated from the Thirteenth through the Eighteenth century. The museum's current collection includes over 800 works of painting and sculpture, displayed in 21 galleries., Italy.
