Martin Wright (cricketer, Born 1963)
Martin Wright (born 13 July 1963) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played for Hertfordshire. He was born in Hemel Hempstead. Wright, who played for the team in the Minor Counties Championship between 1986 and 1997, made four List A appearances, in the NatWest Trophy competition between 1986 and 1989. Wright's highest score in the competition came in 1989, when he scored 36 runs, the highest score of anyone on the Hertfordshire team, though this was not enough to prevent an exit in the first round of the competition at the hands of Nottinghamshire. His brother, Nicholas Nicholas is a male given name and a surname. The Eastern Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Anglicanism, Anglican Churches celebrate Saint Nicholas every year on December 6, which is the name day for "Nicholas". Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Hertfordshire County Cricket Club is one of twenty minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Hertfordshire. The team is currently a member of the Minor Counties Championship Eastern Division and plays in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. Hemel Hempstead () is a town in the Dacorum district in Hertfordshire, England, northwest of London, which is part of the Greater London Urban Area. The population at the 2011 census was 97,500. Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Nottinghamshire. Nicholas Peter Gerrard Wright (born 9 January 1960) is a former English cricketer. Wright was a left-handed batsman, his bowling style is unknown. He was born in Mill Hill, Middlesex. Wright made his debut for Hertfordshire in the 1980 Minor Counties Championship against Norfolk. Wright played Minor counties cricket for Hertfordshire from 1980 to 1997, which included 76 Minor Counties Championship matches and 21 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. He made his List A debut against Hampshire in the 1983 NatWest Trophy. He made 6 further List A appearances for the county, the last coming against Warwickshire in the 1991 NatWest Trophy.
