Martin Walker (actor)
Martin Walker (27 July 1901 – 18 September 1955) was a British stage and screen actor. Walker appeared in films for over thirty years from 1922 onwards, largely in supporting roles but occasionally as a lead such as in ''Help Yourself'' (1932). He also wrote and directed a short film ''Hide and Seek'' in 1922. Walker's final film appearance was '' The Belles of St. Trinian's'' in 1954. Martin Walker (born 1947) is the author of the popular ''Bruno'' detective series. After working at ''The Guardian'' from 1971 to 1999, Walker joined United Press International (UPI) in 2000 as an international correspondent in Washington, D.C., and is now editor-in-chief emeritus of UPI. He was a member of A.T. Kearney's Global Business Policy Council. Life He was educated at Harrow County School for Boys and Balliol College, Oxford. Walker lives in the Périgord/Dordogne in Southern France with his wife with whom he has two daughters. Captain Martin Walker is the protagonist and player character of the 2012 third-person shooter video game '' Spec Ops: The Line'', the tenth entry of the '' Spec Ops'' series, developed by German studio Yager Development and published by 2K Games. Walker is a member of Delta Force, a special operations force of the United States Army. During the events of ''The Line'', Walker is tasked with leading a team on a recon mission to a disaster-ravaged Dubai.
