Martin Schiller
Martin Schiller (born 8 March 1982) is an Austrian professional basketball coach who most recently served as head coach of Casademont Zaragoza of the Liga ACB in Spain. Coaching career Schiller, the son of an Austrian father and a British mother, moved to Germany with his family when he was ten years old and then grew up in the Hamburg area, where he played basketball in the youth set up of TSG Bergedorf. He studied at the German Sport University Cologne, while coaching youth teams and working as assistant coach at 2. Bundesliga side Düsseldorf Magics. Schiller subsequently worked for WBC Wels in Austria. From 2010 until 2015, he served as an assistant coach for the Artland Dragons, and afterwards for the Riesen Ludwigsburg of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). On 23 August 2017 Schiller was named the head coach of the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. Coaching is usually performed by a single person, often with the help of one or more assistants. Alex Jensen (born May 16, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player, and current assistant coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a standout college player at the University of Utah. College career Jensen, Utah's 1994 Mr. Basketball from Centerville, played for coach Rick Majerus at Utah. As a freshman, he averaged 24.8 minutes, 6.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Following his first season, Jensen left to complete a two-year Latter-day Saint mission in England. Upon returning from his mission, Jensen entered the starting lineup for the 1997–98 season. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage.
