Martin J. Sweeney
Martin J. Sweeney (born July 2, 1963) is an American politician of the Democratic Party in Cleveland, Ohio. He was elected a member of the Ohio State legislature in 2014. Previously he served as the majority leader of Cleveland City Council, representing Ward 20. He was elected council president in November 2005, when then-president Frank G. Jackson Frank George Jackson (born October 4, 1946) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 57th Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio from 2006 to 2022. Ohio House Of Representatives
The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years). Saint Ignatius High School is a private Roman Catholic, Jesuit high school under the Diocese of Cleveland, for young men, located in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. History Founded in 1886 by a German Jesuit on the invitation of Bishop Richard Gilmour, the school was originally a six-year secondary school based on the German Gymnasium that was to be attended after the completion of six years of grammar school. Separate four-year high school and college programs were formed in 1902, with the college changing its name to John Carroll University in 1923 and moving out of the Cleveland location to neighboring University Heights, Ohio in 1935. Michael Foley (born June 17, 1963) is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 14th District from 2006 to 2014. Career Prior to his time in the House, Foley had worked as director of the Cleveland Tenants Organization, as well as a court administrator, bailiff and community organizer. Ohio House of Representatives When Representative Dale Miller was appointed to replace Dan Brady in the Ohio Senate, Foley was among three who sought to succeed him in the Ohio House, along with former state representative Erin Sullivan.
