Martin Garralaga
Martín Garralaga (10 November 1894 – 12 June 1981) was a Spanish actor who worked in Hollywood from the 1930s through the 1960s. He was married to opera singer and actress Rosa Rey. Biography Garralaga first came to the United States when he sailed from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, on the steamship ''Catherine'' in April 1924. He acted in more than two hundred roles in film and television and is probably best known for his portrayal of "Pancho" in the early Cisco Kid films. In 1958, Garralaga was cast as Ramirez in the episode "A Tree for Planting" of the CBS western television series, '' The Texan''. Lurene Tuttle and Paul Fix were cast in the episode as Amy Bofert and Bert Gorman, respectively. '' King of Jazz'' is a 1930 American pre-Code color musical film starring Paul Whiteman and his orchestra. The film title refers to Whiteman's popular cultural appellation. At the time the film was made, "jazz", to the general public, meant jazz-influenced syncopated dance music heard on phonograph records, on radio broadcasts, and in dance halls. In the 1920s Whiteman signed and featured white jazz musicians including Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang (both are seen and heard in the film), Bix Beiderbecke (who had left before filming began), Frank Trumbauer, and others. He is noted for being the first actor to play the role of Tonto, the Lone Ranger's Native-American companion, on the screen. But his Social Security application lists his birth date as April 12, 1899, and his birthplace as Santa Cruz County in the Arizona Territory. Eugenia Paul (born Eugenia Popoff, March 3, 1935 – May 24, 2010) was an American actress and dancer best known for her role as Elena Torres in the television series ''Zorro'', which aired on the American television network ABC. Biography Paul was born Eugenia Popoff in Dearborn, Michigan, of Russian heritage. She signed as a dancer with Warner Bros. when she was just 17 years old, while participating on a tour with the American Ballet Theatre and the ''Ballet Sketchbook'' television show.
