Martin Elmiger
Martin Elmiger (born 23 September 1978) is a Swiss former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2001 and 2017 for the Post Swiss Team, , , and squads. During his career, Elmiger was a four-time winner of the Swiss National Road Race Championships. Career Early career Born in Hagendorn, Elmiger's sporting career began with RMV Cham-Hagendorn. AG2R Prévoyance (2007–12) One of the best moments in Elmiger's career was leading the 2007 Tour Down Under for 2 stages and then winning it by a mere 3 seconds over Australian Karl Menzies. He started the UCI ProTour strongly with a 19th place in E3 Prijs Vlaanderen, 17th in Gent–Wevelgem and 24th in Paris–Roubaix after crashing. Four Days Of Dunkirk
The Four Days of Dunkirk (french: Quatre Jours de Dunkerque) is road bicycle race around the Nord-Pas de Calais region of northern France. Despite the name of the race, since the addition of an individual time trial in 1963, the race has been held over a 5 or 6 day period for most of its history. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. Hans Jacob Bauer (born 7 April 1985) is a New Zealand professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Bauer turned professional in 2010. For the 2023 season Bauer will ride for new team . Early life Bauer was raised in a remote area of New Zealand called Parapara near the township of Tākaka in Golden Bay. In 2003, Bauer began his tertiary studies at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand whilst residing at Aquinas College in his first year. He was a nationally ranked mountain biker at the time. Whilst there, he was also often seen around the Dunedin Music scene playing his bass guitar in a band called Dream Farm. In 2006, Bauer earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Otago University in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. Bauer then worked as a cycle courier in Wellington for a year. 2014 Tour De France
The 2014 Tour de France was the 101st edition of the race, one of cycling's Grand Tours. The race included 21 stages, starting in Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, on 5 July and finishing on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 27 July. The race also visited Belgium for part of a stage. Vincenzo Nibali of the team won the overall general classification by more than seven minutes, the biggest winning margin since 1997. By winning, he had acquired victories in all Grand Tours. Andreas Klöden (born 22 June 1975) is a German former professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 1998 and 2013. His major achievements include a bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games and finishing second in the general classification at the 2004 and 2006 Tour de France. Klöden was a tall, lightly built racer with enough strength to place high in the overall classifications of the Grand Tours, but his performances were affected by injuries.
