Marta Linares García (born 31 January 1986 in Castellón de la Plana) is a Spanish group rhythmic gymnast representing her nation at international competitions. She is the current coach of the Spanish Individual National Team in Madrid. She participated at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in the group all-around event, together with Sonia Abejón, Bárbara González, Isabel Pagán, Carolina Rodríguez and Nuria Velasco finishing 7th in the final after finishing 8th in the qualification. Castellón de la Plana (officially in ca-valencia, Castelló de la Plana), or simply Castellón ( ca-valencia, Castelló, link=no) is the capital city of the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, Spain. Rhythmic Gymnast
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport. These are the results of the rhythmic group all-around competition, one of the two events of the rhythmic gymnastics discipline contested in the gymnastics at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The qualification and final rounds took place on August 26 and August 28 at the Galatsi Olympic Hall. Sonia Abejón Esteban (born 1 August 1985) is a Spanish gymnast. She competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics. She currently trains the San Fernando de Henares Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in the city of the same name. Career Junior She started in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the age of 5 at the Torrejón School of Rhythmic Gymnastics in Torrejón de Ardoz ( Madrid). At the age of 13 she went to the C.G.R.D. San Fernando of San Fernando de Henares. Carolina Rodríguez
Carolina Rodríguez Ballesteros (born 24 May 1986 in León) is a retired Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She is a veteran of the sport who started her senior career in the early 2000s. She competed in three Olympic cycles: at the 2004 Athens where she was member of the Spanish group, at the 2012 London competing as an individual gymnast where she finished 14th in all-around qualifications and at the 2016 Rio competing again as an individual, finishing in 8th in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around final.
