The Lido Ground, currently known as the Marstons Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a field sports stadium located on Princess Margaret Way in Aberavon, Wales. Facilities It has a capacity of 4,200 (601 seated) and is the home of Afan Lido F.C. The record attendance at the stadium for a Welsh Premier League game is 509, against Port Talbot Town on Boxing Day 2001. The record Welsh Football League attendance is 546 on 24 January 2009 against Goytre United F.C. Both of the record crowds occurred during high-profile local derby, derby games. Marston's plc is a British pub and hotel operator. Founded by John Marston in 1834, it is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Marston's disposed of its brewing operations in 2020, selling the assets to a newly formed joint venture with the Carlsberg Group to create the Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC), in which Marston's plc holds a 40% share. History In 1834, John Marston established J. Marston & Son at the Horninglow Brewery in Burton upon Trent. By 1861, the brewery produced 3,000 barrels a year. In 1890, Marston & Son Ltd was registered as a limited liability company. In 1898 Marston's amalgamated with John Thompson & Son Ltd and moved to Albion Brewery on Shobnall Road, which the company still operates. The Welsh Football League (also known as the Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh Football League for sponsorship reasons) was a club football league in Wales. For its final season in 2019–20 season it operated at levels 3 and 4 of the Welsh football league system. Goytre ( cy, Goetre) is a village near the town of Port Talbot, Wales. The village lies in the valley of the Nant Ffrwdwyllt, between the communities of Taibach, Cwmafan, Bryn and Margam.
