Marshfield Motor Speedway
Marshfield Motor Speedway is a half-mile asphalt oval motor racetrack built by Jim Langreck that is located at 10853 County Rd H, 3.5 miles west of Marshfield, Wisconsin. The land the track sits on was originally purchased by Mr. Langreck in 1972. The track opened as a half-mile clay oval in 1977. It held a Dairyland Midget Series race in 1985. In 1995 the track was paved for the start of the 1996 racing season. Wayne Brevik managed the track starting in 2006. The track features Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and two 4-cylinder classes. Several touring series have visited the track including ARCA Midwest Tour and the Mid-American Stock Car Series. Marshfield, Wisconsin
Marshfield is a city in northwest Wood and southwest Marathon counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10, Highway 13 and Highway 97. The largest city in Wood County, its population was 18,929 at the 2020 census. Of this, 18,119 were in Wood County, and 810 were in Marathon County. The city is part of the United States Census Bureau's Marshfield-Wisconsin Rapids Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Wood County (2020 population: 74,207). The portion of the city in Marathon County is part of the Wausau Metropolitan Statistical Area. ARCA Midwest Tour
The ASA Midwest Tour (until 2022: ARCA Midwest Tour) is a pavement Super Late Model auto racing series based in the Midwestern United States with its headquarters in Oregon, Wisconsin. It was a developmental series of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA), and currently of the American Speed Association, along with the CRA Super Series. History The series can trace its roots back to the ARTGO series which was formed in 1975. NASCAR sanctioned the tour from 1998 until 2006. During that time, it was known as the RE/MAX Challenge Series, International Truck & Engine Midwest Series and finally the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Midwest Series. Mid-American Stock Car Series
The Mid-Am Racing Series, formerly Mid American Stock Car Series, is a traveling stock car racing series in the Midwestern United States. The cars are based on a 108" metric stock frame, less costly suspension parts and a maximum of 358 cubic inch engine. The car's roll cage and chassis were made of a design very similar to the same chassis a previous design of NASCAR cup chassis, but have also included more modern safety features such as plated door bars and the "Earnhardt bar" which runs from the roof to the dash. Claire Decker (born February 22, 1995) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Decker was a 2014 participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity. Racing career Decker raced in northern Wisconsin. She moved from Super Stock cars to Super Late models. Decker raced Super Late models in the TUNDRA touring series of Wisconsin in 2013. She has won the 2014 Dick Trickle 99 (+ 1) super late model race at Marshfield Motor Speedway. Paige Decker (born March 20, 1993) is an American professional stock car racing driver from Eagle River, Wisconsin. She has raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Xfinity Series and was a 2014 NASCAR Drive for Diversity participant.
