Marsa Alam Airport
Marsa Alam International Airport is an international airport located 60 km north of Marsa Alam in Egypt. It is an important destination for leisure flights from Europe. Overview It was built in response to the increasing needs of European travelers to this southern Red Sea destination, along with other airports on the Red Sea such as Hurghada International Airport, being inaugurated on 16 October 2003. The official name of the airport until 2011 was Marsa Mubarak Airport. The airport is privately owned and operated by EMAK Marsa Alam for Management & Operation Airports, a subsidiary of the M.A. Al-Kharafi Group of Kuwait. Marsa Alam
Marsa Alam ( ar, مرسى علم ' , Classical Arabic ) is a town in south-eastern Egypt, located on the western shore of the Red Sea. It is currently seeing fast increasing popularity as a tourist destination and development following the opening of Marsa Alam International Airport in 2003. Due to its crystal clear water and its white sandy beaches, it is also known as the "Egyptian Maldives". Among the most famous beaches around Marsa Alam is the Abu Dabab beach. In Abu Dabab, turtles are a common sight. For tourists who seek to see something less typical, there is marine wildlife like crocodilefish and octopuses. Poznań–Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport , built in 1913, is one of the oldest airports in Poland. It is located west of Poznań city centre. It takes its name from the neighborhood of Ławica, part of the city's Poznań–Grunwald, Grunwald district, while the airport actually lies in the Poznań–Jeżyce, Jeżyce district.
