Svetlana () is a common Orthodox Slavic feminine given name, deriving from the East and South Slavic root ''svet'' (), meaning "light", "shining", "luminescent", "pure", "blessed", or "holy", depending upon context similar if not the same as the word Shweta in Sanskrit. Biography Childhood and youth Oleg Borisov was born Albert Ivanovich Borisov on 8 November 1929 in Privolzhsk, Ivanovo Oblast. His given name was Albert, which was chosen by his mother in honor of the Belgian prince Albert, who visited Moscow in 1929. His parents were agricultural professionals. His mother, Nadezhda Andreyevna, was an agricultural engineer, and also played as an amateur actress at a local drama. Vladislav Ignatievich Strzhelchik (russian: Владисла́в Игна́тьевич Стрже́льчик) (1921–1995) was a Soviet and Russian actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1974). Biography Vladislav Strzhelchik born in Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg, Russia). His father, Ignatiy Petrovich was a native of Poland ( pl, Ignacy Strzelczyk) who settled in St. Petersburg at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1938 Vladislav Strzhelchik was accepted into the studio of the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater and in the same year he became an actor of this theater, where he worked all his life. He graduated from the studio only in 1947. During the Great Patriotic War, Vladislav Strzhelchik was drafted into the Red Army and served in the infantry at the forefront. Oleg Nikolayevich Karavaichuk (russian: Оле́г Никола́евич Каравайчу́к; 28 December 1927 – 13 June 2016) was a Soviet and Russian composer, author of music for many films and theater performances. Biography Karavaychuk was born on 28 December 1927 in Kyiv, into the family of a violinist who was arrested when Oleg was two years old. From early childhood, he composed music. He attended the School of Music at the Leningrad State Conservatory where he was under mentorship from Dmitri Shostakovich and Sviatoslav Richter, from which he graduated in 1945. In March 1943, he took part in a concert of young musicians in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Conservatory in Tashkent.
