Marquel Blackwell (born July 29, 1979) is a former American football quarterback and the current running backs coach for the University of Mississippi. High school and college career After playing for Lakewood High School and Dixie Hollins High School in Pinellas County, Florida, Blackwell was the quarterback at the University of South Florida for four seasons. Blackwell became a starter three games into his redshirt freshman season and led South Florida to a 30–12 mark during the Bulls' move from Division I-AA to I-A in 2001. During his college career from 1999 to 2002, he threw for 9,108 yards and 57 touchdowns, and had 1,235 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. He set most of the school's individual passing records during his time as quarterback; as of 2009, he is also the Bulls' No. 6 career rusher and No. 3 in rushing touchdowns. Marquel Fleetwood (born January 23, 1970) is a former American football quarterback who played four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Ottawa Rough Riders, Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played college football at the University of Minnesota. He was also a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League of American Football (WLAF). Professional career Ottawa Rough Riders Fleetwood signed with the Ottawa Rough Riders in April 1993, spending two seasons as a backup quarterback with the Rough Riders. He was released in May 1995. Toronto Argonauts Fleetwood was signed by the Toronto Argonauts in May 1996. He was released by the Argonaut in May 1997. BC Lions Fleetwood signed with the BC Lions in June 1997. Marquel Lee (born October 21, 1995) is an American football linebacker for the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Wake Forest, and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Early years Lee was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1995. His family moved to Waldorf, Maryland and he attended Westlake High School. Professional career Pre-draft On December 14, 2016, it was announced that Lee had accepted his invitation to play in the 2017 East–West Shrine Game. During practice for the East–West Shrine Game, Lee sustained a foot injury and was unable to participate. He was one of 29 collegiate linebackers to attend the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, but only performed the bench press, vertical jump, and broad jump due to his pre-existing foot injury.
