Maroš Kováč (born 11 April 1977 in Košice) is a Slovak former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2017 for the De Nardi–Pasta Montegrappa and teams. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Košice
Košice ( , ; german: Kaschau ; hu, Kassa ; pl, Коszyce) is the largest city in eastern Slovakia. Individual Time Trial
An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream. Rutland–Melton CiCLE Classic
The Rutland–Melton International CiCLE Classic is a road bicycle race that starts in Oakham and finishes in Melton Mowbray. The 2008 version was 158 km long. The race is characterised by its off-road sections and short, sharp climbs on narrow and treacherous farm tracks – taking its inspiration from the Paris–Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. The Tour de Taiwan is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Taiwan since 1978, and has been part of the UCI Asia Tour since 2005. Tour of Malopolska (Polish: ''Małopolski Wyścig Górski'') is an annual, professional men's multiple-stage cycling race in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Since 2005, it has been part of the UCI Europe Tour. History The race was first held in 1961 and is one of the oldest bicycle races in Poland. Zbigniew Piątek holds the record for the most victories with three, in 1989, 1998 and 2001. The race usually consists of three or four stages as well as a prologue. The prologue is usually organized at the Main Market Square in Kraków and the points won are included in the general classification. Most of the race consists of hilly or mountain stages. Since 2015, the first stage of Tour of Małopolska has been taking place on the Alwernia – Trzebinia route. The most recent winner is Jonas Rapp of Germany.
