Sinait, officially the Municipality of Sinait ( ilo, Ili ti Sinait; fil, Bayan ng Sinait), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 25,998 people. History Before Magellan discovered the Philippines in 1521, the locality was only a small village of little over a hundred natives who were called "Tirongs." By nature, these primitive inhabitants were sea-faring warlike.
