Marllon Borges
Marllon Gonçalves Jerônimo Borges (born 16 April 1992), simply known as Marllon, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a central defender for Cuiabá. Club career Early career Marllon was born in Rio de Janeiro, and started his youth career at Estácio de Sá after being released by Fluminense. After spells at Bangu and Cruzeiro, he joined Flamengo's youth setup in 2009. On 21 January 2012, after returning from a failed loan at Duque de Caxias, Marllon made his senior debut by starting in a 4–0 home routing of Bonsucesso for the Campeonato Carioca championship. He made his Série A debut on 7 June 2012, playing the full 90 minutes in a 2–2 away draw against Ponte Preta. Regularly used under Joel Santana, Marllon lost his space after the arrival of Dorival Júnior, and subsequently served loans at Boavista and Rio Claro, where he failed to impress. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. It is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. Although not having been played annually since its founding in 1971, the competition format has changed almost every season. Dorival Silvestre Júnior (born 25 April 1962) is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. Playing career Known only as Júnior during his playing days, he was born in Araraquara, São Paulo, and made his debuts as a senior with hometown's Ferroviária in 1982. Two years later, after a brief stint at Marília, he moved to Guarani. In 1985, Júnior began playing in the state of Santa Catarina, first for Avaí and later for Joinville. In 1988, he went back to his native state, representing São José, but during the same year he moved to Coritiba. In 1989 Júnior joined Palmeiras, remaining with the club until 1992. Joel Natalino Santana (born 25 December 1948) is a Brazilian football coach and former player. The last team he coached was Vasco da Gama, in 2014. Biography Born in Rio de Janeiro, Santana played his entire career as a central defender in his native Brazil in the 1970s. He became best known as a player at Vasco da Gama, but failed to earn a cap with the national team. In 1980, he retired as a player and moved on to club management with Al Wasl in the United Arab Emirates.
