Marlene Albrecht
Marlene Albrecht (born 13 March 1988 in Zürich) is a Swiss curler. She is the former lead for Silvana Tirinzoni and with this rink represented Switzerland at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Career Albrecht only competed in one World Women's Curling Championship in 2013 at the Titlis Glacier Mountain World Women's Curling Championship 2013. She was playing third for Silvana Tirinzoni. They lost the second tiebreaker 7-4 to the United States. In 2015, her and her team of Silvana Tirinzoni, Manuela Siegrist and Esther Neuenschwander won the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Grand Slam of Curling event. It was the first breakthrough victory for the team. At the 2017 European Curling Championships, Team Tirinzoni finished fourth after losing the bronze medal game to Italy. The team won the 2017 Swiss Olympic Curling Trials which won them the right to represent Switzerland at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyongchang. 2017 European Curling Championships
The 2017 European Curling Championships was held from November 17 to 25 in St Gallen, Switzerland. The Group C competitions was held in May in Andorra. At the conclusion of the championships, the top eight women's teams will go to the 2018 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in North Bay, Ontario, and the top eight men's teams will go to the 2018 World Men's Curling Championship in Las Vegas, United States. Matt Wozniak
Matt Wozniak (born January 6, 1983) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Wozniak is the former second for the Mike McEwen team which curled out of the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg. Career 2005–2010 In 2005, Wozniak joined the new Mike McEwen rink that included Justin Richter and Andrew Melnuk. For the 2006-07 season, Richter and Melnuk left the team and were replaced with Geordie Hargreaves and Adam Guenther. The team disbanded after just one season together. Wozniak and McEwen joined with brothers Denni and B. J. Neufeld in 2007. In their first season together, they were a semi-finalist at the 2008 Safeway Championship, Manitoba's provincial championship. Their first Grand Slam event as a team was at the end season, at the 2008 Players' Championships. The team won two games, before being eliminated.
