Marko Letonja
Marko Letonja (born 12 August 1961) is a Slovenian conductor. Biography Letonja studied piano and conducting at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where his conducting teachers included Anton Nanut. He continued his conducting studies at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, with such teachers as Otmar Suitner. He granted from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts in 1989. From 1996 to 2002, Letonja was chief conductor of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, and from 2003 to 2006, held the same position with Sinfonieorchester Basel. From 2011 through the end of 2018, Letonja was chief conductor and artistic director of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO). He now has the title of conductor laureate of the TSO. Anton Nanut
Anton Nanut (13 September 1932 – 13 January 2017) was a renowned Slovenian international conductor of classical music. From 1981 to 1999 he served as the chief conductor of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. He was a professor of conducting at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and the artistic leader of the Slovene Octet in its most productive years. Works Nanut collaborated with over 200 orchestras and had made over 200 recordings with a variety of labels. Among the concerts that he valued most was a concert with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra in the Carnegie Hall, his concerts with Staatskapelle Dresden, with the Berlin RIAS and with Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. He was a chief conductor of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and has conducted nearly all the Italian symphony orchestras (especially Orchestra Di Padova e del Veneto). Mario Venzago
Mario Venzago (born 1948) is a Swiss conductor. Biography Venzago began piano studies at age five. He studied at the conservatory and the university in Zurich. He later studied conducting with Hans Swarowsky in Vienna. His other positions have included music directorships with Stadtorchester Winterthur (1978–1986), the Heidelberg Opera (1986–1989), the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Frankfurt/Bremen (1989–1992), Graz Opera (1991–1994), Sinfonieorchester Basel (1997–2003), and the Basque National Orchestra (Orquesta de Euskadi; 1998–2001). From 2004 to 2007, he was Principal Conductor of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. He became chief conductor of the Bern Symphony Orchestra with the 2010–2011 season. Markus Poschner
Markus Poschner (born 1971, Munich) is a German conductor and pianist. Biography Poschner studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Hermann Michael. His mentors and supporters included Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Colin Davis and Jorma Panula. From 2000 to 2006, Poschner was chief conductor of the ''Georgisches Kammerorchester Ingolstadt''. Aziz Shokhakimov (Азиз Шохакимов) is an Uzbek opera and symphonic conductor. He currently holds a position as music and artistic director of Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg. Marc Albrecht (born 1964) is a German conductor who lives in The Netherlands. He was chief conductor of the Dutch National Opera, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra from 2009 to 2020. Eivind Aadland (born 19 September 1956) is a Norwegian conductor and violinist. He has been concert master of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Sebastian Lang-Lessing (born 1966) is a German conductor. Career Lang-Lessing received the Ferenc Fricsay Award at age 24. He started his career at the Hamburg State Opera as an assistant conductor. He subsequently became resident conductor at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He was chief conductor of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra from 2004 to 2011.
