Magic, which encompasses the subgenres of illusion, stage magic, and close up magic, among others, is a performing art in which audiences are entertained by tricks, effects, or illusions of seemingly impossible feats, using natural means. Mark Wilson (magician)
James "Mark" Wilson (April 11, 1929 – January 19, 2021) was an American magician and author, who was widely credited as the first major television magician and in the process establishing the viability of illusion shows as a television format. Early years Mark Wilson was the son of a salesman and he spent much of his youth traveling with his parents as his father moved about on business. He has said his interest in magic began when he was eight years old and saw a magician named Tommy Martin perform at a hotel in Indianapolis, where the Wilson family were staying at the time. The family later moved to Dallas, Texas, where, as a teenager, Wilson improved his magic knowledge by working for the Douglas Magicland shop as a clerk. As his skills improved he began performing magic shows at small functions. Nani Darnell is the widow and former assistant of American magician Mark Wilson. Larry Anderson (actor)
Larry Anderson (born September 22, 1952) is an American actor and magician. Early work He originally started as an assistant to magician Mark Wilson in 1973, and was immediately put to work on the set of '' The Magician'' (starring Bill Bixby), assisting Wilson as the show's magic coordinator. He has since appeared in several television series and films, and is also known for his uncredited role as Michael Long in the pilot episode ''Knight of the Phoenix'' of the 1980s hit TV series ''Knight Rider''. His voice was overdubbed by David Hasselhoff who, when the character was shot in the face and given plastic surgery, took over the role for the remainder of the series. He also created and marketed smaller illusions used by many professional performers.
