Mark Stuart Williams (born 28 September 1970) is a former professional footballer who played as a defender for Shrewsbury Town, Chesterfield, Watford, Wimbledon, Stoke City, Milton Keynes Dons and Rushden & Diamonds. Born in England, Williams played international football for Northern Ireland, being selected 36 times. Club career Williams started his career at Newtown, then moved to Shrewsbury Town where in 1993–94 season he helped the side win the Third Division title. After three seasons with the ''Shrews'' he moved to Chesterfield. In the 1996–97 season, he was part of Chesterfield's historic run to the FA Cup semi final, playing in both the semi-final and semi final replay against Middlesbrough. Mark Fraser Williams (born 24 March 1966) is a British politician, who was the leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats from 2016 to 2017. He is a former Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ceredigion (UK Parliament constituency), Ceredigion constituency, between 2005 United Kingdom general election, 2005 and 2017 United Kingdom general election, 2017. He sat on the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, and in 2006 he became a Shadow Minister for Wales under Menzies Campbell. Mark Oluwafemi Williams (born December 16, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), drafted as 15th overall pick in the first round. Mark Williams (born 27 March 1979) is an Australian-born American volleyball and beach volleyball player. Williams was born in Sydney but moved to the United States when he was nine years old. In 1999, while he was at UCLA, Williams trained with the Australian national indoor team. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, was a libero of the squad which placed eighth among 12 participating teams. In 1998 he made his debut in beach volleyball with Larry Witt where they competed in Hermosa Beach. After graduating in 2001, he played in five AVP events that year with several partners. Mark James Williams (born 21 March 1975) is a Welsh professional snooker player who is a three-time World Champion, winning in 2000, 2003 and 2018. Often noted for his single-ball long potting ability, Williams has earned the nickname "The Welsh Potting Machine".
