Mark Alan Webber (born 27 August 1976) is an Australian retired professional racing driver who competed in Formula One from 2002 to 2013 and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) between 2014 and 2016. He is a champion of the 2015 FIA WEC for Porsche with German Timo Bernhard and New Zealander Brendon Hartley. Webber began karting at age 12 or 13 and achieved early success, winning regional championships before progressing to car racing in the Australian Formula Ford Championship and the British Formula 3 Championship. He competed for two years opposite Bernd Schneider in the FIA GT Championship with the AMG Mercedes team, finishing runner-up in the 1998 season with five wins in ten races before finishing second in the 2001 International Formula 3000 Championship driving for Super Nova Racing. Mark Allen Webber (born July 19, 1980) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director known for his roles in the films '' Snow Day'', ''Weapons'', ''The Laramie Project'', and '' Scott Pilgrim vs. the World''. Early life Webber was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he spent the first nine years of his life. His mother, Cheri Lynn Honkala, is a noted advocate for the homeless in Philadelphia, and was the vice-presidential nominee of the Green Party in the 2012 presidential election. Mark Andrew Webber (born 14 September 1970 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire) is an English rock guitarist. He is most famous for playing in Pulp (since 1995), and appearing on all of their albums since their Mercury Music Prize-winning LP ''Different Class''. Webber first met the band in 1986 while producing a fanzine called ''Cosmic Pig''. He was originally the president of Pulp's fan club. Before joining the group Webber had helped make stage sets and was their tour manager. Webber's musical instruments include: Gretsch Viking guitar, Gibson ES-345, Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar, Gibson Firebird guitar, Yamaha acoustic, Fender Jazzmaster, and Rhodes Piano. Mark Webber (born 18 April 1964) is a British political scientist and international relations specialist whose research interests include the international politics of the former Soviet Union, contemporary Russian foreign policy, foreign policy analysis (FPA), politics of NATO and European Union enlargement, security studies, and comparative international organisations. He is a professor of International Politics at the University of Birmingham, where between 2011 and July 2019 he was the Head of the School of Government and Society. He was also the Head of the Department of Politics, History and International Relations at Loughborough University.
