Mark Tompkins is a British racehorse trainer. He is currently the chairman of the Newmarket Trainers Federation. He worked as an assistant for the trainers Walter Wharton and Ryan Jarvis before working he began training independently. He has been a trainer at the Flint Cottage Stables for the past thirty years. Ryan Jarvis (racehorse Trainer)
Ryan Robert Jarvis (born 11 July 1986) is an English footballer who plays for side Leiston, where he plays as a midfielder. Club career Norwich City Born in Fakenham, Norfolk, Jarvis became Norwich City's youngest ever first-team player with a substitute appearance in a 0–0 draw away to Walsall on 19 April 2003 in the First Division, aged just 16 years and 282 days. He also became the club's youngest goalscorer the following season with an 88th-minute goal in a 2–1 home defeat by Watford on 15 November 2003. Jarvis ended the 2003–04 season with a First Division championship medal as Norwich won promotion to the Premier League. Jarvis scored his first Premier League goal against Liverpool during a 2–1 defeat on 3 January 2005 with a 20-yard shot. British Classic Races
The British Classics are five long-standing Group 1 horse races run during the traditional flat racing season. They are restricted to three-year-old horses and traditionally represent the pinnacle of achievement for racehorses against their own age group. As such, victory in any classic marks a horse as amongst the very best of a generation. Victory in two or even three of the series (a rare feat known as the Triple Crown) marks a horse as truly exceptional. Bob's Return
Bob's Return (1990–2008), was an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career which lasted from June 1992 until September 1994, he ran fifteen times and won five races. He recorded his most important success when winning the Classic St. Leger Stakes as a three-year-old in 1993, the same year in which he won the Lingfield Derby Trial and the Great Voltigeur Stakes. In the following season he failed to win in six races, although he finished second in the Eclipse Stakes. He later had some success as a sire of National Hunt winners. Background Bob's Return was a dark brown horse with a small white star bred by the Baronrath stud at Straffan in County Kildare. In colouring and markings, he closely resembled his sire Bob Back, who defeated Pebbles at Royal Ascot in 1985, and was a successful sire of both flat racers and jumpers.
