Mark Sorenson (rugby Union)
Mark Sorenson (born 5 April 1979) is a former New Zealand rugby union player, his position of choice being a lock. Sorenson joined Northampton from Newcastle Falcons in the summer of 2010, having previously joined the Falcons in the autumn of 2006 from New Zealand province Bay of Plenty, where he had been voted the team's best forward in the Air New Zealand Cup. He was a consistent performer at Kingston Park and won both the Supporters Club player of the season and the players' player of the season award in 2007/8. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). Bay Of Plenty Rugby Union
The Bay of Plenty Rugby Union (''also referred to as "Bay of Plenty" or "BOPRU"'') is the governing body for rugby union in a portion of the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand. Its colours are dark blue and yellow in a hooped design. The BOPRU govern the running of the Bay of Plenty representative team which have won New Zealand's first-tier domestic competition National Provincial Championship (''Air New Zealand Cup'' and '' ITM Cup'') once. Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club. Around 1882 the club merged with the Northumberland Football Club and briefly assumed their name until 1887. In 1990, the name was changed to Newcastle Gosforth and the club began to play at Kingston Park stadium in Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. Northampton Saints (officially Northampton Rugby Football Club) is a professional rugby union club from Northampton, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. RFU Championship
The RFU Championship is an English rugby union competition comprising twelve clubs. It is the second level of men’s English rugby and is played by both professional and semi-professional players.
