Mark A. Salmon (born 1967 in Sydney New South Wales,) is a former Australian surf lifesaver and rugby union player who played for the Australian Army, Port Hacking and Southern Districts Rugby Club in the Sydney Rugby Premiership. Mark Salmon was a member of Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers RAEME for five years as well as serving with 2nd Cavalry Regiment (Australia) 2CAV, A Squadron based in Darwin N.T and 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment 1RAR over subsequent years of Service. Mark Salmon is a current Member of Wanda Surf Life Saving Club (Long Service) and a Former member of Elouera Surf Life Saving Club. Salmon has served as both Club Vice Captain and Club Captain of Wanda Surf Life Saving Club between 1992 and 1997. Southern Districts Rugby Club
Southern Districts Rugby Club is a rugby union club based in southern Sydney. The club currently competes in the New South Wales Rugby Union competition the Shute Shield. The club was formed by the amalgamation of the St George and Port Hacking clubs. History Formed in 1989 by the amalgamation of St George and Port Hacking rugby clubs, with headquarters at Forshaw Park, Sylvania Waters, south of Sydney. The new club played in red, sky blue, white and black jumpers and fielded 6 grade teams, 3 colts' sides, and an under-19XV. Accommodation is limited at Forshaw Park to 2000 but the club has enjoyed splendid support since the amalgamation. St George, founded in 1906, brought to the mix a long record of figuring prominently in 1st grade finals, but not in living memory and with only one premiership win – in 1957, when St George beat Gordon 21–3 in the Grand Final. RAEME
The Royal Corps of Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME; pronounced Raymee) is a corps of the Australian Army that has responsibility for the maintenance and recovery of all Army electrical and mechanical equipment. RAEME has members from both the Australian Regular Army and the Australian Army Reserve, Army Reserve. Prior to being given the title of 'Royal', the Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (AEME) were raised on 1 December 1942. Some 64 years later, on 1 December 2006, the last independent RAEME Workshop was disbanded. RAEME soldiers continue in their role to provide support through attachment to other units in Tech Support Troops, Sections or Platoons.
