Mark Rowley (born 29 January 1990) is a Scottish actor, who has appeared in '' Home Fires'' (2016), '' The North Water'' and ''The Spanish Princess'' (2020), but is known mainly for his role as the Irish warrior Finan, Uhtred’s sidekick in battle, in ''The Last Kingdom''. Early life and career Mark Rowley is from Paisley in Scotland. His interest in acting grew after attending classes at the PACE Theatre Company in Paisley. In 2013, Rowley graduated from the Glasgow based Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In 2013, Rowley starred in an episode of ''Luther'' alongside Idris Elba, Rowley is purported to be the youngest actor to have played Macbeth at the age of 25, in the 2018 version directed by Kit Monkman. Sir Mark Peter Rowley (born November 1964) is a British senior police officer who has been the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis since September 2022. He was the Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis for Specialist Operations of the Metropolitan Police Service and the concurrent Chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council Counter-Terrorism Coordination Committee and National Lead for Counter Terrorism Policing. He was previously Chief Constable of Surrey Police (2009–2011), and also served as Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police between February 2017 and April 2017. He retired from the police in March 2018. In July 2022, it was announced that he would return to policing in the role of Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, replacing former Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick. Sir Lenworth George Henry (born 29 August 1958) is a British actor, comedian, singer, television presenter and writer.
