Mark O'Brien (born 22 September 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Waterford Championship club Ferrybank and at inter-county level with the Waterford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a midfielder. Ferrybank GAA
Ferrybank GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Waterford City, Republic of Ireland. It is situated in the suburb of Ferrybank on the north bank of the River Suir. There have been Gaelic games played in Ferrybank since the first team known as the Davis's was formed in the early 1890s. The club, under its present guise, was formed in 1950, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in the year 2000. The club caters for boys and girls from the age of 5 years and upwards. At juvenile level, the club were U-14 and U-16 County Champions in hurling in 2007 and teams are fielded at all juvenile grades. At adult level in hurling, the club fields teams at senior and junior levels. In Gaelic football, the club were Waterford Junior Champions in 2007. 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland inter-county championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 25 May 2016 and ended on 10 September 2016. Limerick entered the championship as the defending champions. They were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 10 September 2016 Waterford won the championship following a 5-15 to 0-14 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title and their first in 24 championship seasons. Format Leinster, Munster and Ulster each organise a provincial under-21 championship. 2013 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2013 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship (also known as the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 83rd staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 11 April 2013 and ended on 8 September 2013. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions; however, they were beaten by Limerick in the Munster semi-final. On 8 September 2013 Waterford won the championship following a 1-21 to 0-16 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their 3rd All-Ireland title overall and their first since 1948. UCC is a football and hurling club associated with University College Cork. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men.
