Mark Moran (soccer)
Mark Moran (born September 26, 1954) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played in the North American Soccer League. In 1973, Moran graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He then attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, playing on the men's soccer team from 1973 to 1976. The SIU Edwardsville Cougars are the intercollegiate athletic teams of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), located in Edwardsville, Illinois, United States. The Cougars' athletic program is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and competes at the NCAA Division I level. The SIUE mascot is Eddie the Cougar #57, and the school colors are red and white. Cougar teams have won seventeen NCAA national championships in five sports. The Minnesota Kicks were a professional soccer team that played at Metropolitan Stadium in the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington, Minnesota, from 1976 to 1981. The team was a member of the now defunct North American Soccer League (NASL). Initially known as the Denver Dynamos, the team relocated and became the Minnesota Kicks in 1976.
