Mark Anthony John Moran ( Cole, 4 July 196415 June 2000) was an Australian organized crime figure of the infamous Moran family from Melbourne, Victoria, notable for its involvement in the illegal drug trade and the Melbourne gangland killings. Moran, aged 35, was shot dead outside his Aberfeldie home, allegedly by Carl Williams, just after 8 pm on 15 June 2000. Mark Moran (born September 26, 1954) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played in the North American Soccer League. In 1973, Moran graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He then attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, playing on the men's soccer team from 1973 to 1976. In 1977, he turned professional with the Minnesota Kicks The Minnesota Kicks were a professional soccer team that played at Metropolitan Stadium in the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington, Minnesota, from 1976 to 1981.
