The 13th congressional district of Ohio is represented by Representative Tim Ryan. Due to reapportionment following the 2010 United States Census, Ohio lost its 17th and 18th congressional districts, necessitating redrawing of district lines. Following the 2012 elections, the 13th district changed to take in much of the territory in the former 17th district, including the city of Youngstown and areas east of Akron. Ohio State Route 13
State Route 13 is a north–south state highway in the northern and southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. It is the tenth longest state route in Ohio . Its southern terminus is at State Route 550 near Athens, and its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 6 in Huron. Route description Route 13 arises in Dover Township, Athens County, Ohio at Ohio State Route 550 at its junction with US Route 33. It travels west to the heart of Chauncey, Ohio, then turns north at its junction with Ohio State Route 682. After leaving Chauncey, it bypasses Millfield, Ohio, then enters Trimble Township and passes through Redtown, Jacksonville, Trimble, Glouster, Palos, then passes by the dam side of Burr Oak State Park and passes Burr Oak. Daniel Parkhurst Leadbetter
Daniel Parkhurst Leadbetter (September 10, 1797 – February 26, 1870) was a two-term U.S. Representative from Ohio in Ohio during the 1840s. He retired from office before the end of the decade, although he had support to run again. Later, he served in the American Civil War as a captain. Settling in Millersburg, the county seat of Holmes County, Ohio, he and his brother, Moses Leadbetter, eventually came to own almost half the town. Their family remained prominent there for decades. He was also a relation through marriage of a prominent Millersburg citizen, Robert Justice. Biography Leadbetter was born in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, September 10, 1797. He attended the common schools; moved to Ohio in 1816 and settled in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio where he studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1821 and commenced practice in Steubenville. David Spangler (December 2, 1796 – October 18, 1856) was an American lawyer and politician who served two terms as a U.S. Representative from Ohio from 1833 to 1837. Biography Born in Sharpsburg, Maryland, Spangler moved with his parents to Zanesville, Ohio in 1802. He attended public schools and worked at the blacksmith's trade before engaging in mercantile pursuits. Spangler then studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1824. The National Republican Party, also known as the Anti-Jacksonian Party or simply Republicans, was a political party in the United States that evolved from a conservative-leaning faction of the Democratic-Republican Party that supported John Quincy Adams in the 1824 presidential election. Known initially as "Adams-Clay Republicans" in the wake of the 1824 campaign, Adams's political allies in Congress and at the state-level were referred to as "Adams's Men" during his presidency (1825–1829).
