Mark Robert Jones (born January 17, 1953) is an American screenwriter, film director, television director, film producer, and television producer. He wrote and directed ''Leprechaun'' (1993), about the fairy tale character, beginning the horror franchise of the same name, which includes eight films in total. He also directed and co-wrote the horror film ''Rumpelstiltskin'', also based on a fairy tale, and written for numerous television series such as ''The A-Team'' and '' The Highwayman''. ''The Skatebirds'' (onscreen title: ''Skatebirds'') is an American live-action/animated package program produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and broadcast on CBS from September 10, 1977, to January 21, 1978. Overview The Skatebirds consisted of three large costumed birds on roller skates: Knock-Knock, a woodpecker (voiced by Lennie Weinrib); Satchel, a pelican (voiced by Bob Holt) and Scooter, a penguin (voiced by Don Messick). Their nemesis was a cat named Scat Cat (voiced by Scatman Crothers). The ''Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo'' shorts represents the fifth incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon ''Scooby-Doo'' series. The original format of four teenagers and their dog(s) solving faux-supernatural mysteries for a half-hour was eschewed for simpler, more comedic adventures that involved real supernatural villains (the villains in previous ''Scooby'' episodes were almost always regular humans in disguise). ''The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo'' is an American action comedy television series that ran on NBC from September 18, 1979, to May 5, 1981. For its second season the show was renamed ''Lobo''. ''The All New Popeye Hour'' is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and King Features Entertainment.
