Mark Henn
Mark Alan Henn (born April 6, 1958) is an American animator and film director. His contributions to animation have included several Walt Disney Animation Studios leading or title characters, most notably heroines. His work includes Ariel in ''The Little Mermaid'', Belle in ''Beauty and the Beast'', Jasmine in ''Aladdin'', Young Simba in ''The Lion King'', the title character in ''Mulan'', and Tiana in ''The Princess and the Frog''. Additionally he directed the short film '' John Henry''. Early life Henn grew up in Ohio. In 1978, Henn was accepted into the Character Animation program at the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied under Disney animators such as Jack Hannah and T. Hee. ''Celebrate the Magic'' was a nighttime show at the Magic Kingdom park of Walt Disney World, that premiered on November 13, 2012. It replaced ''The Magic, the Memories and You'' display, a similar show that ran at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland from January 2011 to September 4, 2012. ''Celebrate the Magic'' takes place on Cinderella Castle and includes a contemporary musical score, projection mappings, pyrotechnics and lighting. A three-dimensional computer-generated rendering of Cinderella Castle was released by Disney in August 2012, revealing some of the various designs that will be displayed on the structure. Inbetweening, also known as tweening, is a process in animation that involves creating intermediate Film frame, frames, called inbetweens, between two key frame, keyframes. The intended result is to create the illusion of movement by smoothly transitioning one image into another. Traditional animation Traditional inbetweening involves the use of a light table to draw a set of pencil and paper drawings. The process of inbetweening in traditional animation starts with a primary artist, who draws key frames to define movement. After the testing and approval of a rough animation, the scene is passed down to assistants, who perform Cleanup (animation), clean-up and add necessary inbetweening. John Lasseter
John Alan Lasseter (; born January 12, 1957) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, voice actor, and the head of animation at Skydance Animation. He was previously the chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios, as well as the Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering. Lasseter began his career as an animator with The Walt Disney Company. After being fired from Disney for promoting computer animation, he joined Lucasfilm, where he worked on then-groundbreaking use of CGI animation.
