Mark Grimmette
Mark Grimmette (born January 23, 1971) is an American luger who competed from 1990 to 2010. Competing in five Winter Olympics, he won two medals in the men's doubles event with a silver in 2002 and a bronze in 1998. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Grimmette also won nine medals at the FIL World Luge Championships with two silvers (Mixed team: 2004, 2005) and seven bronzes (Men's doubles: 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009; Mixed team: 2001). He won the overall Luge World Cup men's doubles title three times (1997–1998, 1998–1999, 2002–2003). He was selected in December 2009 to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Grimmette carried the United States flag during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He announced his retirement on March 17, 2010. On April 29, 2010, it was announced that Grimmette was named USA Luge's Sports Program Director and also was involved as a head coach. Mariel Zagunis
Mariel Leigh Zagunis (born March 3, 1985) is an American sabre fencer. She is a two-time Olympic champion in the individual sabre ( 2004 and 2008) and the first American to win a gold medal in Olympic fencing. She was Team USA flag bearer in the 2012 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations. She has two Olympic bronze team medals (in 2008 and 2016) and is a five-time Olympian (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020). Lopez Lomong
Lopez Lomong (born January 5, 1985) is a South Sudanese-born American track and field athlete. Lomong, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, came to the United States at the age of 16 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007. Lomong qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 1500 meters at the United States Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon. He was the flag bearer for the United States during the 2008 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. The Reeths-Puffer School District is a public school district located in Muskegon, Michigan. Reeths-Puffer currently has an early education center, formally McMillan Elementary, 3 elementary schools, 1 intermediate school, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. History The name of the district is taken from two separate school districts that later merged; named for Mr. Hiram Puffer, who founded the first school in the area in the 1870s, and Mr. Charles Reeths.
