Mark Griffin (born 19 October 1985) is a Scottish Labour politician who has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Central Scotland region since 2011. Early life and career Raised in Kilsyth, he attended St Patrick's Primary School and then St. Maurice's High School in Cumbernauld, before studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where he graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree, in 2007. Griffin is a trained Mechanical Engineer and prior to his election to North Lanarkshire Council in 2008, he was a serving soldier in the British Territorial Army (TA). Mark Griffin (August 28, 1954 - October 24, 2018) was an American spiritual teacher in the lineage of Bhagawan Nityananda. Griffin was an author on the philosophy and practice of Yoga Tantra. He emphasizes spiritual practice ( sadhana), especially meditation. He was the founder and director of Hard Light Center of Awakening, a Los Angeles-based spiritual school that, according to its literature, offers intensive training in meditation and other practical techniques of Liberation. Mark David Charles Griffin (born 25 February 1968) is an English actor known for his role as Trojan on the television series ''Gladiators''. Early life Born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, Griffin attended Brighton Hill secondary school. He played squash at a young age and was invited to National Squad Training Camp. He went on to become a bodybuilder. Career Griffin's first acting role was in the 1995 TV series '' Action Man'' in which he played the live action version of the animated character. Mark Timothy Griffin (born April 6, 1975, Oakham, Rutland) is a former rugby union player who represented the United States as a Hooker. He is currently Commercial Director at USA Rugby. Griffin played for Durham University RFC as a student and later Old Blue R.F.C. in New York. He made his USA debut against Spain at Fort Lauderdale in 2003.
