Mark Foster (golfer)
Mark Barry Foster (born 1 August 1975) is an English professional golfer. Career Foster was born in Worksop. He won the English Amateur twice before turning professional in 1995. For the first few years as a professional he was troubled by back problems, but in 2001 he won twice on the Challenge Tour and topped the money list. He won for the first time on the European Tour at the 2003 Dunhill Championship in South Africa. In 2011 he had his career best finish on the Order of Merit in 32nd position. KLM Open
The Dutch Open is an annual golf tournament played in the Netherlands, and has been part of the European Tour's schedule since the Tour was inaugurated in 1972. History and sponsorship Founded in 1912, the tournament began as the Dutch Open, before a variety of sponsors resulted in numerous name changes over the years. KLM was the longest title sponsor; lasting from 1981 to 1990, and from 2004 to 2020. The tournament has been moved around the golfing calendar, but since 2010 it has been held in early September. Trevor Immelman
Trevor John Immelman (born 16 December 1979) is a South African professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, European Tour and Sunshine Tour. He won his sole major championship at the 2008 Masters Tournament. Early years Immelman was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Born into a golfing family. His father, Johan, is the former commissioner of the Sunshine Tour in South Africa, while his older brother Mark is a broadcaster, teaching pro and collegiate golf coach. He also has an older sister by the name of Michelle Greeff. Trevor took up golf at the age of five. He attended Hottentots Holland High School. He won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1998. Stuart Little (born 1 August 1967) is an English professional golfer who played on the European Tour. Career A left-handed golfer, Little qualified for the European Tour through Qualifying School in 1991 and 1992 and 2004 – and twice through the Challenge Tour – in 2001 and 2003. Challenge Tour After the 1991 and 1992 seasons where he both finished ranked 148th, he dropped down to the Challenge Tour, where he won the Rolex Trophy at Golf Club de Geneve in Switzerland twice, in 1994 and 2001. The Zambia Open is a men's professional golf tournament played in Zambia, that has been part of the Sunshine Tour since 1996, and was co-sanctioned by the European-based Challenge Tour from 2001 to 2004. It was also an event on the Challenge Tour between 1991 and 1993, having previously part of the now defunct Safari Circuit. History Lusaka Golf Club has traditionally hosted the Zambia Open, but in 2005 a disagreement with the then sponsors, Stanbic, resulted in the cancellation of the tournament, with a new venue being found for the following year. Under a new sponsorship agreement, the 2008 tournament was held at Chainama Hills Golf Club for the first time, with a prize fund of 750,000 rand. The 2001–02 Sunshine Tour was the second season of professional golf tournaments since the southern Africa based Sunshine Tour was rebranded in 2000. The Sunshine Tour represents the highest level of competition for male professional golfers in the region. There were 22 official events on the schedule. This was an decrease of one from the previous year, but there was a significant change in the list of tournaments. Bernd Wiesberger
Bernd Klaus Wiesberger (; born 8 October 1985) is an Austrian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the LIV Golf Invitational Series. He finished the 2019 season in third place on the Race to Dubai standings, his best finish to date. In July 2015, when he won the Alstom Open de France, Wiesberger became the most successful Austrian golfer on the European Tour with three tour victories. He has since extended his record and is an eight-time winner on the European Tour. He also played in the 2021 Ryder Cup. Amateur career Wiesberger was born in Vienna. Pablo Larrazábal Corominas (born 15 May 1983) is a Spanish professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. He also played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series event at the Centurion Club. Early life Larrazábal was born in Barcelona, Spain. He attended high school in the United States and returned to Spain in 2002 with the intention of turning professional but his father made him work on the family fish farm in Cantabria to understand the value of money. George Coetzee
George William Coetzee (born 18 July 1986) is a South African professional golfer. He has won five tournaments on the European Tour and 13 on the Sunshine Tour, where he has also topped the Order of Merit on two occasions. Early life Coetzee was born in Pretoria and matriculated from the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in 2004. Thomas Bjørn
Thomas Bjørn (born 18 February 1971) is a professional golfer from Denmark who plays on the European Tour. He is the most successful Danish golfer to have played the game having won fifteen tournaments worldwide on the European Tour. In 1997 he also became the first Dane to qualify for a European Ryder Cup team. He captained the winning European side at the 2018 Ryder Cup. Johnnie Walker Championship At Gleneagles
The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles was a European Tour golf tournament which was played at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. The tournament was founded in 1999 as the Scottish PGA Championship, and despite maintaining the same sponsor, has since changed name on several occasions, as Diageo has looked to promote different brands. It was last contested over the PGA Centenary Course, formerly called the Monarch's Course, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup matches. 2011 European Tour
The 2011 European Tour was the third edition of the Race to Dubai and the 40th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The season began in December 2010 with the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, and culminated with the Dubai World Championship the following December. The full schedule included the four major championships and four World Golf Championships. The Race to Dubai was won by Englishman Luke Donald, who also collected the Golfer of the Year award having also headed the PGA Tour money list and ascended to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking during 2011.
