Auckland Transport (AT) is the council-controlled organisation (CCO) of Auckland Council responsible for transport projects and services. It was established by section 38 of the Local Government (Auckland Council) Act 2009, and operates under that act and the Local Government (Auckland Transitional Provisions) Act 2010. Auckland Transport began operating from 1 November 2010, at the inauguration of Auckland Council. It assumed the role of the Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) and the combined transport functions of Auckland's seven city and district councils, all of which were disestablished. Mark Ford (born 1962 Nairobi, Kenya) is a British poet. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of English Language and Literature at University College London. Life Mark was born in Nairobi, Kenya on the 24th June, 1962 to Donald and Mary Ford. He went to school in London, and attended Oxford University and, as a Kennedy Scholar, Harvard University. He studied for his doctorate at Oxford University on the poetry of John Ashbery, and has published widely on nineteenth- and twentieth-century American writing, including on Raymond Roussel. From 1991-1993 he was Visiting Lecturer at Kyoto University in Japan. He is Professor of English in the Department of English Language and Literature at University College London. Mark Ford (footballer)
Mark Stuart Ford (born 10 October 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Leeds United, Burnley, Torquay United and Darlington and in the Belgian First Division for Lommel. He was capped twice for the England under-21s. Career Ford was born in Pontefract and attended Tadcaster Grammar School. He began his football career as an apprentice with Leeds United, and was part of the Leeds team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1993. Ford turned professional in March 1993. A hard-tackling midfielder, once he broke into the first team he was considered as a future replacement for David Batty. However, despite playing in the 1996 League Cup Final and scoring once in the league against Sunderland, he struggled to establish himself at Elland Road and moved on to Division Two club Burnley, managed by Chris Waddle, in July 1997 for a fee reported as £275,000. British And Irish Meteorite Society
The British and Irish Meteorite Society (BIMS) is a group of over 150 meteorite researchers and amateurs. The BIMS was formed in 2004 by the meteorite collectors Mark Ford and Dave Harris. The group provides a meteorite collecting and study focus for the UK and Ireland, and is the only meteorite group in the UK and one of only three in the entire world. Members have made many major scientific discoveries, including the finding of a rare pallasite meteorite, in Hambleton, Yorkshire, in 2005. Several members assisted in the search for the Winchcombe meteorite in 2021. Through its website, the society maintains two forums, one for the general public and one for its members. Additionally, the society has a Facebook group. The forums and group act as a central point for the exchange of meteorite related information in the UK. Mark Ford (born October 12, 1970, in Ronceverte, West Virginia) is a trainer of Standardbred horses in the sport of harness racing. He is best known as the trainer of Gallo Blue Chip, 2000 Harness Horse of the Year and the then richest pacer of all time. That year, Mark Ford was voted the Dan Patch Trainer of the Year Award along with co-winner Jimmy Takter.
