Mark Flood (ice Hockey)
Mark Flood (born September 29, 1984) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who last played for Rouen "C" of the Ligue Magnus. He previously played with the New York Islanders and Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Flood was drafted in the sixth round, 188th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He played in the ECHL prior to signing a free agent contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets playing for their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. On November 26, 2006 Flood was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes organization for defensemen Derrick Walser. He was not re-signed by Carolina and on July 6, 2009 he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the New York Islanders. Flood spent the majority of the season in the AHL. Following a concussion to Islanders defensemen Dustin Kohn Flood was called up to the NHL, making his debut on March 25, 2010 against the Calgary Flames. Mark Flood (born 1957, in Houston, Texas) is an American artist. Flood has been making art for 30 years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University in 1981. He sings in the band Culturcide under the stage name Perry Webb. Mark Flood is represented bStuart Shave/Modern Art London and KARMA, New York. In 2012, Randy Kennedy wrote in the ''New York Times'' that Flood was "a founder of the underground 1980s band Culturcide" who "never sold enough work to say goodbye to his day jobs (Texaco office worker, elementary school teacher's assistant, video clerk, museum assistant"). Work Flood has worked in several media and formats such as painting, installation, artist's books and photo-collage. His paintings created with lace have been called "spinster abstraction". The process involves collecting lace and shredding it, soaking the lace in paint, and then draping it over a painted canvas. A pattern is left on the canvas after removing the lace. Mark Ellis (born 16 August 1960), known by his professional pseudonym Flood, is a British rock and synthpop record producer and audio engineer. Flood's list of work includes projects with New Order, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Marc and the Mambas, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Sneaker Pimps, King, Ministry, The Charlatans, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Erasure, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Foals, a-ha, Orbital, Sigur Rós, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, White Lies, Pop Will Eat Itself, Warpaint, EOB, and Interpol.
