Mark Evans II
Mark Evans II (born October 11, 1999) is an American football offensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Arkansas–Pine Bluff. Early years Evans was not allowed to play football growing up due to weight restrictions, so he did not begin playing until the seventh grade. Instead, he began boxing until he was able to start playing football. Evans initially committed to play football at Navarro College, though later was recruited to play at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. College career Evans committed to play college football at Arkansas–Pine Bluff. As a freshman, he played in nine games, and during his sophomore season, he started in all eleven games at left tackle, contributing to an offensive line that allowed the second-lowest amount of sacks in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). 2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl
The 2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl was a post-season college football all-star game played on February 25, 2023, at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the second edition of the HBCU Legacy Bowl and was the last of the all-star games that concluded the 2022–23 bowl games. The bowl's teams are named after Jake Gaither, coach of the Florida A&M Rattlers from 1945 to 1973, and Eddie Robinson, coach of the Grambling State Tigers from 1941 to 1997. The Prairie View A&M Panthers football team is the college football team representing the Prairie View A&M University. The Panthers play in NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). History The first football coach at Prairie View was Henry B. Hucles, who began in 1924. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen.
