Mark Dutton
Mark Dutton is an Australian motor racing engineer and current team manager of Triple Eight Race Engineering. He has engineered Jamie Whincup to five Supercars series championships. In 2014, he became team manager of Triple Eight. Career After studying a mechanical engineering degree at the Queensland University of Technology, Mark Dutton became a race engineer at Larkham Motorsport in 2001. After Larkham Motorsport, Dutton went to Briggs Motorsport after a break from the sport. In 2007, he became the lead engineer of the Triple Eight Falcon driven by Jamie Whincup. That year, Whincup finished second in the championship behind Garth Tander. Dutton then engineered Whincup to five series championships in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Larkham Motor Sport
Larkham Motor Sport was a motorsport team contesting the V8 Supercar Championship between 1995 and 2005. History Larkham Motor Sport was formed in 1990 with the intent of furthering Mark Larkham's career after he won the 1989 Australian Formula Ford Championship. After originally running a Ford EA Falcon in the Australian Production Car Championship with little success, Larkham returned to open wheelers and purchased a Ralt RT20 Formula Holden to run in the 1991 Australian Drivers' Championship. Finishing third he created a rivalry with series champion Mark Skaife which would continue for much of the next decade. For 1992 a relaxation in the rules governing what Formula Holden cars could be built from saw Larkham be the first to import a carbon-fibre constructed racing car to Australia in a Reynard 90D, adapted to the regulations by team mechanic Sam Michael. Briggs Motor Sport
Briggs Motor Sport was an Australian motor racing team which has represented Queensland based businessman John Briggs in motor racing. The team has competed in Sports Sedans, Australian GT, Formula Holden, and most notably as a touring car team competing in the V8 Supercar Championship Series. The team last competed in historic motor racing and the Australian GT Championship but was folded at the end of the 2009 season. Triple Eight Race Engineering, (branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing) is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship. The team has been the only Brisbane based V8 Supercar team since its formation, originally operating out of the former Briggs Motor Sport workshop in Bowen Hills before moving to Banyo in 2009. Since taking over the former Briggs Motor Sport team during the 2003 season the team has won the Supercars driver's championship ten times, the team's championship eleven times and the Bathurst 1000 nine times. Jamie Whincup (born 6 February 1983) is an Australian professional racing driver competing in the Supercars Championship. He currently is team principal for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He has driven the No. 88 Holden Commodore (ZB), Holden ZB Commodore, won a record seven Supercars championship titles, four Bathurst 1000 victories, and a Bathurst 12 Hour victory. Whincup is the all-time record holder in the Supercars Championship for race wins, at 124 career wins. He is also the first driver to win the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy twice at Pukekohe Park Raceway in Auckland, New Zealand. The Ford Falcon (BF) is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 2005 to 2008. It was the third and final iteration of the sixth generation of the Falcon. Garth Tander
Garth Tander (born 31 March 1977) is a multiple-championship winning Australian motor racing driver competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship's Enduro Cup, co-driving the No. 97 Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He was the 2007 series champion for the HSV Dealer Team and is a five-time winner in Australia's most prestigious motor race, the Bathurst 1000. Tander also owns a motor racing team TanderSport. Roland William Surrey Dane (born 17 October 1956) is an Irish-Australian automotive businessman who is best known for co-founding motorsport teams Triple Eight Racing in Britain and Triple Eight Race Engineering in Australia, of which he was team principal until the end of 2021.
